How do you become known in the modeling industry?

Please answers all of these questions below: How can you get into the modeling industry? What dress size should you be (in uk sizes)? I'm 5ft 8 1/2 so im tall enough and i mean dress size for everything not just photo shoots :] How do you start entering the modeling industry? How do you become known in the modeling industry?

1. Attend different open calls, and events like that, look up different agencies online around your area, and ask them when there open calls are, dont be afraid to email the agencies you find online. I found an agency online, and i will be attending an open call in january. Also be yourself, and dress casually.

3. first you actully need to have some photos done. they need to be model type and not something like a senior picture. try modelmayhem.com to find photographers in your area most will do it for free so they can also build up thier portfolios. then try looking for an agency. open casting calls are great but if you dont have alot of experience they can be a waste of time. also if you do go on these always make sure your wearing light to no makeup, you wear your hair down but bring a ponytail holder in case they want to see it up, wear skinny tight straight leg jeans and always wear heals. and wear a white shirt or tank top that shows some shoulder so they get an idea of your build, and of course always bring at least one photo of yourself. be confident and if your not experienced dont pretend to be. just act natural and do the best you can. alot of people will give you alot of credit for trying your best instead of pretending your the greatest at it! good luck to you!
